NAIOP’s Science Fair Showcase & Lunch on Monday

NAIOP‘s Science Fair Showcase & Lunch took place Monday, April 25th, at the Marriott hotel in Albuquerque. In grand tradition, they hosted the student awardees of NAIOP’s scholarships assigned during the UNM STEM Research Challenge the previous month. [vc_single_image image=”20637″ animation=”none”][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row css=”.vc_custom_1650993152330{margin-top: 30px !important;}” kswr_row_top_decor_enabled=”false” kswr_row_bottom_decor_enabled=”false”][vc_column]

“It was so exciting to see young and seniors science enthusiasts come together to think about how to transform our future.” Said Lori Anne McBride, OE Solar marketing and sales director. Each student’s pitch and display boards were unique and inspirational. This event provided a platform for transsectorial exchange in science education. The luncheon brought together talented science high school students and top engineers and scientists to share and develop scientific research and education learning and teaching.

After two brilliant student presentations, the lunch program featured guest speaker Dr. Oscar Martinez from the Air Force Research Laboratory. He did a live on-stage experiment: What happens if you pour hot water into a container full of liquid nitrogen? An eruption with a tremendous plume of mist blasted upward, a dense cloud, and a very satisfying explosion noise.
